Father of child killed in Minneapolis shooting speaks, “A coward decided to take our 8-year-old son”

Jesse Merkel’s son, Fletcher, was one of the two students killed in Wednesday’s shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis. He delivered a statement Thursday, saying in part, “Fletcher loved his family, friends, fishing, cooking and any sport that he was allowed to play.”
